The WeatherFlow Tempest is one of the most commonly searched-for weather stations here on The Weather Station Experts. There’s a good reason for it: it is one of the best smart home-capable weather stations available. What if we told you that you could win one simply by being a fan of TWSE? Well, try your luck in our WeatherFlow Tempest Giveaway!

The folks at WeatherFlow have been kind enough to offer one TWSE reader the opportunity to win a Tempest (a $340 value), and it’s extremely easy to enter. The contest starts today and runs through October 9. We’ll announce the winner via our newsletter as soon as we reach and confirm a winner.

If you’re subscribed to our newsletter, you actually already have a quarter of the requirements satisfied! Here are the requirements:

• Only subscribers of TWSE’s newsletter are eligible. If you’re not, no worries: you can subscribe using the form below.
• You must either have liked or liked the official WeatherFlow-Tempest page on Facebook.
• You must either have liked or liked The Weather Station Experts on Facebook.
• You must share the contest on one social media network of your choice (but more we won’t complain about! :)). We will not ask for proof at the time of entry, but you’ll have to have a live link for verification to claim your prize.

The winner will be picked at random from the newsletter mailing list. We will then check for the three requirements, and the first random pick to satisfy them will win the Tempest. But that’s not all — you can “upgrade” your prize by fulfilling at least one of the below, which adds the official mount (a $30 value) to the prize package:y

• Sign up and become an active user on WxCloud on Mastodon
• Subscribing to our Weather News board on Flipboard

You only need to fulfill one of the above to be eligible. All requirements must be met before the contest ends on October 9.

How to enter

In order for it to make it easier for us to determine a winner, we’ve set up a short form for you to use. The amount of information will depend on how you use social media. If you use a different profile name, we’ll need to know that in order to verify your eligibility. The form will ask you a few questions, and based on your answers will request additional information if necessary. It will also allow you to subscribe to the newsletter right from the form, so even if you’re not a subscriber now, you can still enter.

How is this information stored and/or retained?

Any information you provide will be through a secure form that is encrypted to prevent data disclosure. TWSE and Oz Media will only retain the above information through the successful end of the contest drawing and verification of a winner. All information on the form that you did not provide to us elsewhere (i.e. name, e-mail address) will be permanently deleted.

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Eligibility:

WeatherFlow Tempest Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to those who sign up at the sweepstakes page located at https://theweatherstationexperts.com/tempest-giveaway and who are 18+ as of the date of entry. The sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the United States and Canada and is void where prohibited by law. Employees of Oz Media (the “Sponsor”) their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as they relate to the content. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

3. Sweepstakes Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on Sep 30, 2023, at 12:00 AM EDT, and ending Oct 9, 2023, at 11:59 PM EDT. All entries must be received by Oct 9, 2023, at 11:59 PM EDT.

4. How to Enter: The Sweepstakes must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided on this Sweepstakes site, located at https://theweatherstationexperts.com/tempest-giveaway. The entry must fulfill all sweepstakes requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. You may enter only once and you must fill in the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

In order to be eligible to win, entrants must complete the following:

1. Be subscribed to The Weather Station Experts’ mailing list.
2. Liked or already have liked WeatherFlow’s official Facebook page.
3. Liked or already have liked The Weather Station Experts’ official Facebook page.

All three requirements must be fulfilled prior to entering and must be active when the drawing for the winner occurs. In addition, you will be required to share the contest page on at least one social media profile and have it active at the time of verification. This must be posted BEFORE the contest ends to be accepted. Late entries are void.

Entrants can make themselves eligible for an additional prize for completing any of the following:

1. Subscribing to The Weather Station Experts’ YouTube page.
2. Signing up and actively using WxCloud on Mastodon.
3. Subscribing to The Weather Station Experts’ Weather News board on Flipboard.

As with the primary requirements, these must be fulfilled prior to entering and must be active when the drawing occurs. However, they are not a requirement to be eligible for the main prize. The winner forfeits the additional prize if they have not completed any of the additional optional tasks.

5. Prizes: The winner will receive:

WeatherFlow Tempest Weather Station (1) valued at $339 each. If the winner has fulfilled the additional requirements listed above, they will also receive a WeatherFlow Tempest Weather Station Mount (1) valued at $29.95 each.

Actual/appraised value may differ at the time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution is permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is nontransferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use the winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

6. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner selection and notification: The winner of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing under the supervision of the Sponsor using mailing list subscribers, and a name will be redrawn until a subscriber is chosen that has fulfilled all primary requirements, and has submitted a valid entry. The winners will be notified via email to the email address they entered the Sweepstakes within 48 hours of the drawing, currently expected to occur at midnight, October 10, 2023. The winner will be publicly announced in the next newsletter from the Sponsor. The Sponsor shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to the winner’s spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for the winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 72 hours from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

The receipt by the winner of the prize offered in this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

8. Rights Granted by you: By entering this Sweepstakes you understand that the Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of the Sponsor, or its respective licensees, successors, and assigns will have the right, where permitted by law, without any further notice, review or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter in perpetuity and throughout the World, your entry, including, without limitation, the entry and winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image or statements about the Sweepstakes, and biographical information as news, publicity or information and for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without any further compensation.

9. Terms: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In such a case, the Sponsor may select the recipients from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by the Sponsor.

Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website or violates these Terms & Conditions.

Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Sweepstakes, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by sweepstakes rules; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Oz Media reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You can opt out of receiving this communication at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. You may also unsubscribe from any of our social media channels at any time, however, doing so before the Sweepstakes draw will void your entry.

10. Limitation of Liability: By entering you agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) such entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.

11. Disputes: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE United States AND Pennsylvania WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, the participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Pennsylvania having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, other than the participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Requests must be received no later than 60 days after the Promotion ends.
